EXPERTISE
Farah’s dual expertise as a nurse and a lawyer provide a unique lens from which she is able to develop and execute on strategy, advise on considerations and the impact of significant changes, support stakeholder relations and for knowledge development. Her tenacity and skill in gracefully managing the dynamics of a rapidly changing environment result in improving clients’ overall performance. Farah has extensive knowledge of professional regulation including investigations, prosecutions and enforcement and a deep understanding of mental health, addiction and long-term care.
Farah is an avid volunteer and has focused her recent efforts in the areas of women’s education, mental health and addiction and pediatric kidney research. She has held positions on the Havergal Board of Governors and continues to be an active member of the Havergal Old Girls Association Directorate as the Co-chair of their Governance committee. Most recently she held the position of Executive Board Member for the Inaugural Nurse Health Program in Ontario and she co-founded Grayson’s Gratitude, a fundraiser that supports kidney research in partnership with the SickKids Foundation
EDUCATION
Farah holds a BSc.N and MSc.N from the University of Western Ontario and an LL.B from the University of Windsor. Farah has a passion for health promotion and is a thought leader. She is one of a select group who has attained a Fellowship in Regulatory Excellence (FRE) from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. She is a published author and speaker.

EXPERIENCE
Farah has knowledge of the myriad of issues that impact our healthcare system. She has led large-scale initiatives and influenced lasting change and has a history of successfully delivering on business solutions based on innovative and resourceful strategies. After spending over a decade leading in nursing regulation at the College of Nurses of Ontario, and several years working in nursing and the law, she has successfully redesigned functional areas resulting in impactful outcomes and has led large teams and organizations in the successful delivery of a variety of projects and initiatives with demonstrated clarity and focus.
